Kadokawa Manga Gakushuu Series: Nihon no Rekishi

Three Key Features of the Kadokawa Manga Learning Series: “Japanese History” 1. Packed with Features to Help You Grasp the Big Picture of History Before the main story, we include an illustrated guide that lets you see the key characteristics of each era at a glance. Furthermore, four-panel manga panels clearly explain the most important changes during each period. Reading the manga with this broader context in mind makes a world of difference in your understanding! This is our original format, not found in other publishers' history learning manga. 2. Great cover art! Engaging manga inside! That’s why kids read it on their own! Popular illustrators—including Katsuya Kondo of Studio Ghibli, Kanon Yoshizaki of Sergeant Keroro, and Takeshi Obata of Death Note — have contributed to the cover art. Although the cover illustrators and manga artists are different, the artwork is coordinated with the cover to ensure a seamless reading experience. The art style is designed to appeal to today’s children, and the series is praised for being “enjoyed by kids just like any other manga.” 3. The latest Volume 16 covers events through 2022! With the most up-to-date content available anywhere, modern and contemporary history is covered thoroughly! Volume 16 features the most up-to-date content available, covering events up to 2022.
